pricey! Maybe it's because of those Golden keys...?

I'm not sure that price is to high anyway. There is a Swedish auction site having one sold for the equivalent of... well, it's at 150% of JennyD's price. With a few hours to go. A different sell-site has one listed for 200% of her price. (Not an auction site)
Both of those systems are bare essentials, and a few boxed games.

On the other hand, a A500, half a MB memory upgrade, and a few bits n' pieces is about 50 pound here. Guess it all comes down to what people are wiling to do, and pay.

the thing is most peaple will read the discription of the item then look at the goods.

i looked, and it says its in perfect condition,do you think these are rare even?,i see about 20-30 a week, this would come down to what peaple are willing to pay,yes i agree with that.

and keeping that in mind you would have a mental picture of the amount that suits the discription of the goods, wouldent you agree.
lets just say if you was a collector. what condition and price would be right?

also if i was to compare this 1200 against a 1200 of same state,i and many others would go for the cheaper one.
and if i was a collector i would go for an amiga that still had its original box and not take any notice of the extras which are mainly copys or blanks, but be interested in the software that still had the boxes and manuals mainly because from first impression is that the software in some cases wont work without codes.
also alot of peaple if you admit it. will look at this amiga and go what else isent quite right about the listing.after all where only human.

Hi all,
Thanks for the feedback! So what kind of price do Amiga experts like yourselves think my lot is worth? And you are right, not everything is in the photo as it would not all fit! And thank you for the feedback regarding the condition. Roy you say "also alot of peaple if you admit it. will look at this amiga and go what else isent quite right about the listing.after all where only human" - please could you elaborate? i.e. what features do you think are not right with the advert?

Thanks again for the feedback,
Jen

Get first things first:
1. It is not rare. To not try to attract people with false titles/descriptions. If you collectors are the group of buyers you aim for, be honest, or you might end up with no bids at all.
2. It is not perfect. A perfect would have been a non yellowed one complete in its box (unless the offer itself is considered a rare one).
3. It is pricey. The fact that there are others selling 1200s at over 200 GBP does not justify things.
4. What comes along with it cannot justify the high buy it now price tag. Most of them would be of not much use to the collector or to the amiga user. They just add to the total cost of the p&p.

It would be easier to get the amount that you wish and even more by splitting the sale. You will also improve the odds for a success in your sale as for example somebody would have the option of bidding just on the 1200, or the printer he's interested in.

In any case, good luck with your sale.

In any case, thanks for your input.

im not going to go on .you obviuosly know what you want for your amiga.
if there is alot of gear then maybe its a good idea to take more pictures of whats on offer.
also im not having a go at your sale, its just the truth,if i was buying this i would want to get it back to its former glory, and that would cost money on top of the purchase.

if you havent already may be worth having a look in the trapdoor on the bottom of it to see if there are any cards plugged in there

also jen,if you really want to sell it,the best thing from a buyer point of veiw, and this is more important than the general condition of the machine is wether or not it works, and what revision the motherboard is, if known.

the best way is to take a photo of it working something like a game running or maybe a sysinfo benchmark, take a snap of the tv.that way your covered.(after all its hard to argue with a picture as proof)
thats just incase theres any comeback.

roy.
