LMFAO, thats the best joke ever.
No, but seriously, that is infact PSPUAE 0.52 and NOT CASTAWAY. Turrican runs sweet with no sound, for that matter pretty much everything runs sweet without sound. Its getting there though, as alot of things play decentish with sound. |

This is 1 of the only places, I havent posted news on, but heres were we are at.
We have got a speed increase, around 2 to 4 FPS using CPU = MAX and around 4 to 6 FPS using CHIPSET = 100%. This speed increase has also helped with everything running slow when using 50% + Chipset. 1 example is Bubble Bobble, now runs very nice on 100% CHIPSET and frameskip = 1. Another is Xenon2 that also runs very nice with CHIPSET and frameskip = 1. Although, chipset can help with speed, the downside is it adds massive load times in some cases (GnoStiC, is working on something to hopefully over come this). cmf (new dev to join us), rewrote the memory code, so it allocates better on the PSP. So now 10 Megs is usable, the only downside is that all previous SaveStates wouldnt work. He then wrote a Windows (dont worry mac users, i have thought of you, mac version is in the works) app, which converts the old states to work with the new memory code. I have fixed the bug that caused PSPUAE to crash if no menu background pic was present. I have also added all CPU2CHIPSET settings, so you can adjust the CHIPSET much more finely. I removed 0 Frameskip from the Auto frameskip, simply because when hitting 0 the emu would slow down and then speed back up (might leave this not sure yet). I have also semi fixed, the quick config bug, where it caused PSPUAE to crash if AutoZoom was set "ON". Need to work more on it, to fix it 100%. GnoStiC, is currently adding his optimisations at the moment. So we should be ready for a release very soon. Damn, didnt even type this much for pspuae.com, lol. |
