Then sell your psp and get a gp2x... psp uae has not been updated since October last year and gp2x UAE4ALL is still being worked on and is already faster @275mHz than pspUAE @333mHz.

I have both btw.

err

You do know there is a PSX emu on GP2X??

Two out of the three games you mention are for PSX... not PSP... I have no idea what the third one is, a snowboarding game I assume.

owned!

Lol, I guess he means GTA : LCS, Ridge Racers (PSP version - I have the japanese version with the extra S... uk/usa versions are named Ridge RAcer)... SSX is some board thing, Ive never played....

Winfellow was being converted to C last time the team were in action, I believe that it was at least 80% converted to C, however Im not sure if it was completed or not.

yep... i quite like having a machine that is also well supported with new games, and i have always loved the kind of games that get released on the Sony machines. the fact that some retro-games can be played *should* only be a bonus.... but currently i'm spending loads of time playing the old ones!

someone take up the challenge of putting uae4all onto the psp just to show the gp2x users it can be done...

I agree with Hungry Horace. I love my PSP and any emu's I can run are just a bonus.

Currently looking forward to Ghouls N Ghosts, Gradius, Worms and Sensi. I am assuming Sensi will be coming out on the PSP? Anyone got Lemmings yet? The wife is on at me to get it.

well tbh i'm not that interested in the new Sensi. it looks like they've cut out all the extra stuff of SWOS and put in some crap 3d gfx.... a "classic" 2d version with wireless & internet multiplayer support and career mode and stuff would have been the best thing since SWOS itself was released!

However, i now have pspUAE running on 2.5 firmware - so i'm playing SWOS on that anyway its not too bad with the sound off, and it looks like someone has decided to start developing pspUAE further, so things can only improve.

check this link: http://forums.qj.net/showthread.php?t=40521 for the (pretty new) update of pspUAE which works on all firmwares!

If you play games without Auto frameskip (tune it to the game in question)- the games work pretty well... same goes for most psp emulation ^-^.... not tried gba though

when i tried GBA to play IK+ it was pretty bad. No sound at all, frameskip pretty high.

At least on pspuae i only have to turn off the music. (and stick on IK+ tune remixes on instead!)

at least someone is sensible enough to think pspUAE is worth developing....

Yes I finally made some progress with the e-uae based PSP port.

When I started out updating PSPUAE to the 0.2.28 version of e-uae the idea was to get to a code base that still have development. And this is exactly what happened. On May 5th a new beta of e-uae 0.2.29 was released on www.rcdrummond.net incorporating some of the recent WinUAE changes.

I was able to easily upgrade to that version and suddently Xenon II is working.

I also saw progress on the HDF support issue but is still strugling to get it to work.
he also posted this nice looking piccie....

Almost completely unrelated but, my girlfriend recorded the sound of my belly rumblng on her mobile phone the other day and when we played it back it sounded uncannily like the shopkeeper from Xenon 2!

~ 27th of Febuary 2006.... so my calculations put that at a 2 and a bit months.... i waited longer for Lemmings 2 to be released!

i know what you mean though, it's a shame the original author simply seemed to abandon it.

still, at least it lives on in the hands of others.

@ Dast.... you mad b*stard! although i have often wondered how they made that speech sound. I just assumed it was some guy going "rabba-rabbado-raaaahda" or something. Maybe it was in fact someones belly.

I'll need to check out the revision. Some of the games I really like worked fine on it.
