Bos-3800a Tv Console
Link: http://www.priceminister.com/offer/b...s-Console.html
I now a place where to buy these babes for 5 €. It has 9-pin plug with 2nd and 4th pin "empty". It fits to Amiga port but don't know anything else so I must ask this: Has anyone been a lucky one and managed to play Amiga games with cheap TV Console controllers? These particulary controllers are a combination of game pad and a light gun. In theory it would work in Amiga? Would be nice to know if there is a reason to by this crappy machine... |

OK, I don't think this adds info but they maybe also pins 6 & 8 that are empty depending on which way you look at the plug.

x . x . If I remember right it's like that. So now the empty ones are 6th and 8th. Hell, it didn't cost much so I must see if there are any left and buy one. If controllers won't work with Amiga I must give the toy console to someone who owns a new high class turbo PC and say: "Here you go! Please help yourself with this peace of equippment that reminds you the golden era of PC in the 80's = peeb sounds and poor graphics". |

Hmm, it doesn't look like it'd immediately short out anything..
Nevertheless I'd still open it up and measure around before plugging it in. Judging by the amount of buttons in the controllers, it probably has some multiplexing going on in there, a bit like the CD32 or Megadrive/Genesis pad. Naturally I won't give any guarantee that you won't break anything. Just looking at the plug is very unscientific and we have no idea what the controller does with those pins. They may have stuck to the atari spec, or they may have invented their own. |
