WinUAE troubles

hello once more.. almost forgot..

did anyone encounter troubles running 0.8.23 recently?

I have two; having tried almost everything I could I run out of ideas now...

First one that is the lighter one.. is that whenever my system boots up I get a date of [iirc] 23rd of november, 2003... do I need something to get it fixed? it really confuses "make"s

the other one is that WinUAE for some reason refuses to boot my system from time to time.. it starts to read my startup seq and somewhere in the middle it suddenly stops and flashes my screen for a second. I need to reboot a couple of times [to make it pass thru [and then it works till I shut down emulator and run it once more]..

I have tried to track any possible program that could cause this weird behavior, without success...
