IconChief and ModePro

Discussion about these two programs, in the following topics:

How to use IconChief, is possible to use it without crashing the computer or appearing "phantom" icons?
Does is possible to disable the console window that appears when we run the prefs program?

I want to use them, they are good programs full of features, but I dont like/want to use some of the bugs/features they have.

If someone know the answers to these questions, or are curious also to know them, reply here, I want to know and maybe someone else.

IconChief: Easy: use DefIcons instead. http://aminet.net/package/util/wb/NewIcons46

ModePro: you didn't say what you think is wrong with it. I used it for years without problems, so what bugs shall there be in your opinion?

I use IconChief because it have an auto-cleanup feature that I like use, that DefIcon doesnt has. I remember that some time ago, I used it without problems with a tweak of its configuration. Remembering well, seems that both and WhatIs.library doesnt likes a configuration file without a ending carriage return.

About ModePro, it was showing a debug console window when I did open the configuration window with the commodities exchange. No problem now, I used a "QUIET" tooltype for it and now it doesnt show it anymore.
