Unknown VIDI devices...

I'm searching for any info ( technical detailed list, software ) about these devices I found: Amiga Video Grabber and Amiga Video Splitter both probably manufactured by Telmex.
Thanks.

Thumbs up

I happen to have a pair of very similar units, except they have a "Pyramid" sticker on them instead of "Telmec".

It is a simple monochrome video framegrabber that connects to the parallel port, and the accompanying color splitter. It can grab single 16-shade grayscale frames from a moving video source (up to 3 frames/sec), or compose 4096-color HAM pictures from a still video picture with the splitter.

The complete set should contain a DB9F-DB9F cable that connects the Amiga's joystick (GAME 2) port to the color splitter. (The pinout of the cable is trivial: 1-1, 2-2, ... 9-9.)

If my memory serves me well, its software only runs on a 68000 CPU (it was originally intended for the Amiga 500). I have attached the ADF of the diskette, so you can try them.

I hope that I could help you.

My Amiga Video Grabber has a large "Telmex Engineering" sticker; the Amiga Video Splitter has, like yours, a little "Pyramid" sticker.
I thought both were by Telmex because on The Big book Amiga Hardware I found devices with similar external cases by Telmex.
Many thanks a_petri for all info and software. I did't know anythingh before.
