A1200 power pack / keyboard dilemma

erm, ok two questions

1) my powerpack has holes in the leads and I can see some wire thats not shielded by a rubber outing (bare metal)... erm, will the power pack blow up soon? and can this be replaced by an A500 / A500+ power supply?

2) one key on the keyboard is screwed.. it doesnt bounce up again, so the key is constantly pressed... not good as games crash - need to blue-tac it up at the moment. is there any way of fixing this?

Thanks for the help in advance :-)

I had an A1200 with an A500-PSU, because it was stronger than the stock 1200 one...

Maybe the spring is missing. Take the offending key off and have a look.

1) Why not shield it with a rubber/duck tape by yerself

2) Definitely a missing/rusty/dirty spring. Use a screwdriver, pull the button out and check/clean/replace

KG: No, I lent it to a friend who messed it up

I looked at the wire from the PSU, but it seems there might be a bare wire throughout... does anyone else have this? ... I might just tape the wire up I dunno.

Sounds like good news with the spring though - I'll check it out later today ;-) thanks everyone!
