I am playing this right now, my first run at it, completely stuck at level 17. What the hell am I supposed to do on that level?!?!?!

Edit: Figured it out. That level is really nasty.

Ok, my first try at the game (Or well, second one, my first try ended at level 4 when I got stuck and pressed ESC to see if the level would restart, but it sent me back straight to Workbench):

This is basically Loderunner, with all nice touches and pitfalls of Loderunner. A game of this lasts for too long, it's not like POD where you can go for a quick go and have fun. But I certainly will be able to beat this

One problem this has is that I am used to play Loderunners with 2 butons (one button digs to left, another button digs to right). With just 1 button, too many mistakes are made by digging at the wrong side, which is really annoying.

But outsmarting the dumb AI is always lots of fun on any Loderunner clone

I got stuck here at my last life.. I pressed F10 and the game ended.. I am not sure if F10 just ends the game or kill me. I also have pictures of the highscore board if necessary

This is where the readme file comes in handy

F10 will, according to the instructions, restart the game. A better option is to press Del, as that will kill the player if they get stuck. And yes, Esc just quits out completely with no warning (which seemed a bit rude to me).

Maybe my first try lasted for too long because I kept looking at level 17 for a long time trying to figure out how to beat it.

All enemies were stuck at positions where they couldn't get me, I just dropped the joystick and scratched my head like "How the hell can I get past this?"

And some of the levels do take a while to beat even if you know the solution.

lvl 17.. is that the one with 3 pits and seemingly no way to dig down? The trick is to dig the top 2 blocks while still hanging from the rope.
Wait til you reach lvl 21.. it's a ******* nightmare.

I've beaten Level 21 and, yeah, it's a nightmare.

From level 17 onwards the game just gets ridiculous hard and you make really few points on each level.

Minerunner supports this: Press the 2nd button to start the game and you're in two-button mode!

Another thing... if you need help with level 17, you can download the attached level017.log
- unzip it
- copy it into the "levels" drawer
- Enter c o w in the title picture of Minerunner. Now you see the the secret menu
- enter level017 and press return
