I received my card today and installed it in my Amiga 4000 on the X-Surf-100 card. I have it running along with my Deneb (running in PIO mode due to ZoRAM). I did a quick test of the two controllers using my external HD formatted as FAT95.
Deneb - 5,461,333 bytes/sec Rapid Road - 6,553,600 bytes/sec I think the Rapid Road is a good card to get if you want USB. Happy with the performance of it too! The only advantage the Deneb has s the 4MB flashROM which I rely on these days. |

RapidRoad USB starts shipping oct-20-2014
Unfortunately my Deneb has a dead USB port It died before I started using a powered USB hub, which is built into the monitor. What can I say Steve? I just can't help myself with all things Commodore

Is it the internal socket or one or one of the headers? I'm guessing both USB devices work fine together? I miss my Deneb, sold it when I was broke earlier in the year (I was out of work) I will get a XS100 and Rapid combo when funds allow. ps: @Thread, anyone in UK whose bought both the XS100 & Rapid USB together, how much was shipping to UK? I'm thinking to punish my Visa card Last edited by fitzsteve; 29 October 2014 at 13:39. |

Yeah I was pretty bummed about it when it happened. It was one of the headers.
Both controllers work seamlessly together. If you swap a device from one controller to the other, it works with the same device name ie. stays as USMD rather than getting renamed to USMD.0 |

It's €280 all in (selected the clockport version in case I use it with another Amiga) £229 by PayPal's tool.

I also, registered on his site when I ordered as well. But both the registration and the ordering got messed up and didn't give my address. The rest of the transaction went well though. |

It's just nice to have a current USB option for the Amiga again.
