I received my card today and installed it in my Amiga 4000 on the X-Surf-100 card. I have it running along with my Deneb (running in PIO mode due to ZoRAM). I did a quick test of the two controllers using my external HD formatted as FAT95.

Deneb - 5,461,333 bytes/sec
Rapid Road - 6,553,600 bytes/sec

I think the Rapid Road is a good card to get if you want USB. Happy with the performance of it too! The only advantage the Deneb has s the 4MB flashROM which I rely on these days.

RapidRoad USB starts shipping oct-20-2014

Unfortunately my Deneb has a dead USB port It died before I started using a powered USB hub, which is built into the monitor. What can I say Steve? I just can't help myself with all things Commodore

That sux

Is it the internal socket or one or one of the headers?

I'm guessing both USB devices work fine together?

I miss my Deneb, sold it when I was broke earlier in the year (I was out of work)

I will get a XS100 and Rapid combo when funds allow.

ps: @Thread, anyone in UK whose bought both the XS100 & Rapid USB together, how much was shipping to UK?

I'm thinking to punish my Visa card

Yeah I was pretty bummed about it when it happened. It was one of the headers.
Both controllers work seamlessly together. If you swap a device from one controller to the other, it works with the same device name ie. stays as USMD rather than getting renamed to USMD.0

The Poseiden USB stack really is awesome. Sorry about the Deneb though, it happens to the best of us. I burned a Subway USB by connecting it the wrong way round, I double and triple checked and thought I'd connected it the right way round but got confused by a fold in the cable!

Cool, I just filled out my details and it's the same postage price even for both items.

Hmmm, do I submit the order and face possible crucifixion?

Come on Steve mate, seriously it's only money. Just numbers on a bit of paper, what's the worst that Mrs fitzsteve can do?

No. But Jens did send me an email stating that he never got my mailing address from it. I also, registered on his site when I ordered as well. But both the registration and the ordering got messed up and didn't give my address.

The rest of the transaction went well though.

It's just nice to have a current USB option for the Amiga again.

Well done that man. If I hear faint screams in the distence this evening I'll know it's only Mrs Fitzsteve murdering you

Not that I will use it much, but this might be an opportunity to access all my CU Amiga cd's straight from the A1200
I have quite a few brand new USB CD drives (yes, CD drives, not DVD drives!) in stock. Unfortunately, I have some trouble getting them to work: CacheCDFS crashes when used. Once I get these drives to work, I'll put them in my shop for a symbolic price (something like 11,11 EUR, because 13,37 EUR might be misunderstood ;-))
