AMIGA A570 wont boot

Guys I have A500 rev6a 512k/512k. When I power A570 and A500 the screen goes grey. A570 spins. Then there is reboot. Power led on amiga dims every one second or less. After reboot the same thing happens. Volume knob on. If I turn volume knob off. Amiga boots to DF0 no problem. There was never CDTV screen.

Any help is much appreciated.
Kickstart 1.3.

No addons.

you need 1MB chip ram not 512k/512k. start with that and see how you go.

Yes, from the (German) manual translated : For the emulation of the CDTV system you need at least version 1.3
or 2.0 of the Amiga operating system. In addition, the Amiga must have a
working memory (chip RAM) of 1 MB.

I'll start with 1MB CHIP - but I don't think this is the reason.
In maunal there is that you need 1mb chip to run programs - otherwise you might have issues. But I'll try that first

Confirmed from other user that it works with 1.3 and 512/512 config. So this is not the case.

It is the Chip Memory issue. The OP will have to perform the cut-n-jumper mod to turn their Rev6a into a 1MByte ChipRAM A500.

I will do the mod today. But are you 100% positive you need 1m chip to even boot?

Made 1mb chip mod. Nothing changed. Now after booting there is software failure message in red box. When I turn off A570 boot into sysinfo - I can see it as ZORRO CARD listed. So it is working at least in the background. Drive spins the disc in proper manner. Spins stops after minute or two when idle. There might be a chance but idk what to do next. Tried on 3.1 KS 1.3. 512/512, 1mb chip. And so on.

You could try to replace the A570 Extended Kickstart EPROMs? Or reseat them? There's a beta version of a new ROM which works with accelerators http://cdtvland.com

this is great news - I will reseat every chip in socket and clean them - then recap - well see. I hope it will resurrect A570

Failing that the only things I can think of are try another PSU. Recap the CD drive electronics

Some early A570's (marked inside as A690) have a battery in them for NVRAM that might have leaked?

to confirm.
my STOCK A500 uses to work with my A570 - so on 512k.
I`ve recently done the jumper mod, so it now has 1mb Chip.

The A570 will not boot on mine now, as I have a TF536 within, and aparently not compatible.
Or it just doesnt like my A500 3.1 rom (it was 1.3 when I last tried it)

A570 wont boot with TF you need patched roms from cdtvland - I know it is some alpha version but it might work.
