I dunno, but the game itself was so unplayable on my system (below) that it stayed installed for about an hour max!

Has anyone ever got it to run at a Playable framerate on an Amiga ??

there are 6 Cdda tracks got quite far into the game, but became stuck when trying to climb out of a sewer pipe before sucked into a fan. just didnt have the fps to push through Still have the save game to try again some day. that was with using Bvision. Dont think med+voodoo is gonna help it though

Personally, I'm waiting for an AmigaOS 4 compatible edition. If 200 MHz G2 doesn't cut it, maybe an 800 MHz G3 might.

No bigger problems with 233/Prometheus/Voodoo3, played almost thru - except crashes always on certain places, caused by MiniGL, as soft.ren did go thru. And finally finished on PC....

It sure is playable but the framerate sucks @$$ like Keropi mentioned
Same goes for Heretic II

The other one's like Quake II + Wipeout 2097 runs smooth

Well, did recheck my feelings; Shogo runs quite fine for me; compared to my lappie which does some 300 fps but has hacky USB mouse my Amiga Shogo is much more playable at some 20-30 fps, 800x600. And better than Heretic II.

hi guys,
my original Shogo game works great here (in 640x480 16bit mode), but I don't remember how to play the CD-ROM tracks in the game itself .....
I can play correctly them for exemple with PlayCD amiga app (or directly with the CD-ROM keys), also the settings in the game are ok (correct device and ID for CDDA device in "Misc" TAB options, and "Disable Music" is not enabled in "Advanced" TAB options, sound tested with AHI sound card and also with Paula default sound DMA (not AHI).
All OK, but not CDDA audio tracks playing ... any idea ?

Do you have to have an Envarc variable, like quake and quake2? Try running snoopdos to see if it’s looking in ram:env

same as problem with Quake2.
In Quake2 and Heretic II there a in subdirectory in ENV: and ENVARC: directory of the game (HereticII and Quake2) the variables cd_device and cd_unit with correct device and ID, while in Shogo only MoviePath variable.

Is It possibile the problem is because the device is patched ? (patch by loadmodule of BB4); device patched is "NCR scsi.device" (SCSI of A4000 Tower).
If It's possibile I can try disabling the loading module of the patch next time I power on the Amiga.

I have no problems to play the audio tracks with PlayCD, and game WipeOut2097, Trauma0
