What about World of Spectrum (http://www.worldofspectrum.org).

Some serious effort has gone in there, for my favourite 8-bit micro (none of this C64 nonsense, thank you!) :-)

Heh, sorry but I couldn't resist :-)
To all those people who have emailed me over the years asking
why I have my trash can called "Amiga" it's symbolic of the war
between the ST and Amiga crews of which I was very much part of.
If you're looking for some quality Amiga resources online then you can do a lot
worse than checking out sites like ExoticA, Back 2 The Roots
or Amiga.org
Do I hate the Amiga? Hell no. They're fantastic machines!
JuST not quite as good ;-)
And he is still wrong.

It's been 11 long years since I last turned an Atari zealot into a cabbage through my mental abuse. In between that I met a crazy woman - I don't know if I have the power any more

ST is sillier and uglier castrated Amiga.

It was somehow still able to use sampled tunes in Nebulus compared to the Amiga's mod-based efforts though.

Loved that Any non-silly person will care about platforms that actually had somebody bother to put in at least bare minimum hardware registers to do sensible things, like point to pixel buffers and you know, scroll shit.

And the Amiga not only had a orgasmically-rich set of those, but also a holistic design that absolutely maximizes performance. Vision vs development.

For consoles you can't go wrong with the Digital Press rarity and value database. Searchable among many variables too...

The site:

http://www.digitpress.com/

Direct link to the online guide:

http://www.digitpress.com/DP/cmf/search.cmf

Covers all regions and PAL/NTSC as well.

The Digital Press site isn't a really good database. Looks too simple and generic. Also way too little infos, it needs more details for each game entry.

The best SNES database atm is probably Video Game Den. Only 153 games so far, but with very detailed infos and reviews.
