This should make it easier. Also, if anyone wants just to try the functions and fool around, the savestate is an ideal way. First load the winuae conf, then insert the disks, then load the savestate under Misc. and you're done. the source is GODSTRAINER8.s file, compiled file is GODSTRAINER8 |

further to a new trainer for Gods... it would be great if someone could fix the copy-protection (ie harder game) and ks3.1 (loading glitch)
i have just bought Gods, i would be happy to give a cracker the disks for all of the above to be worked on... |

the crystal doesnt work on ks3.1, i have tried on real amiga http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/...roducts_id=668
disk two, fails at "Loading Level 1" screen infact all versions have failed also i think that the Crystal version didnt actually fix the hardness glitch.. i had the cracked version, went and bought the original which is much easier.. ..this has all been discussed in http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?...highlight=gods |

I have played the Crystal crack and I can confirm that it works 100% (completed the game).
I also played a direct copy of the original (without copylock copy!) and I can also confirm that this is super hard and crashes (but I had seen enough to get me hooked to this game forever) |

Above is the way we trained Gods when we wanted to play it back in the days ... It was faster than loading the AR savestate. Last d was to check whether I loaded the code into memory while the pointer was in the range, normally this is done before patching (it wasn't, but if it had been, it would have crashed the game). One thing though, for some reason we seem to have left out the ability to toggle unlimited lives, so there always is 1 life. It should be easy to change it in the source though, since I have noticed it is needed to have 8 or more lives to complete the game on level 4 in the last stage. I guess it shouldn't be too hard to modify the source so that it adds lives, but does not remove them when unlimited lives option is turned on. Last edited by Evore; 29 March 2010 at 21:54. |

Hey Evore
Sorry man, looks like I won't have the time for this myself... I've made tentative promises to (well, try at least! ) do some coding for a demo group for a release they're trying to get done in the next few months. HungryHorace will probably be your best bet, if he's still up for it that is, obviously I can't speak for him. |

Evore - you give the addresses - $1D052 and $1E2C2 .... but what version is this? I need to see what code i'm replacing [edit - ignore this comment]
I've spotted that there are 3 different versions supported by the WHDload slave, and using those addresses on the data (disk images) provided with the KGWHD pre-installed version [edit - fixed this problem] i didnt really do much yet, I just tried putting your code straight in! I just read the notes properly - I should be able to work it out for myself once i have all the versions now. Trainer is working *permanently* on the attached slave, using SPS images 0666 (i will tooltype it later on) however, the mouse / move character thing is too 'dangerous' and leads to crash the game, as it's not limited to the level-size - i am therefore likely to remove this. hmm. some of these trainers are pretty unstable!
certain graphics arent loaded in the earlier levels i assume (familiar on level 1 for example?) and so you get corrupt sprites. I would not feel comfortable releasing a slave with any such bugs. Certain trainers will need limiting according to the level you are on. Also, the moving trainers (like the mouse thing i mentioned, and stuff on the cursor keys) lead to crazy things like 'falling through the floor and completing 3 worlds' - these trainers would have to go i think! i have to admit, i dont know Gods well enough to comment on the usefulness/correctness of these trainers, but I can see something isnt right! |
