This one is the daddy in my opinion:
Used it with both my Speccy and my A500, only joystick I ever owned that never broke. Anyway, good to see a new run of joysticks for the classics. |

That is not the Amiga version- we are one of the exclusive suppliers of Competition Pro Amiga/C64 - that company is not and does not have the Amiga version.
You can also obtain the Competition Pro USB & Classic Amiga bundle from us |

This is all well and good but when are we going to see reproduction CD32 controllers? It's pretty much the official standard Amiga controller.
The things also go for crazy money, so it's not like a run of them wouldn't turn a profit. |

does anyone know if these will have the same feel as the original CP ones from the 80s, as the USB model looked the same like the original, but quickly you realized mechanically it is not at all the same thing, it felt a lot less precise, louder clicks and overall less solid feel.
I still got my 2 CP I bought when I had a C64 in 1985 (without extra mini buttons) and despite years of decathlon alike abuse, dropping them etc, they still both work and lock perfect. Only had to open one of them twice for a jammed microswitch which needed some greasing so it would popout again, but other than that, never had to look to other sticks (tried many, but none could compete with durability and precision of CP IMHO. |

I never had any polling problems with my adapter from Retrozone. Then I can use the real old thing. |

The new production run of the Competition Pro is featured in Sven Harvey's Amiga News column in this week's Micro Mart (issue 1060). He reckons the new build should be available sometime next month.

Me, I'd sure like to see newly manufactured Tac-II's... I don't like these pistol grip ice cream cones nowadays... nor those strange little pistol handle thingies with a little stick on top... it's gotta be arcade-like or NES-like (gamepad) for me, always and until the end of time! |
