While AGA support sounds good it'd be too much I'm afraid. It'd just make it slower.

Question

Hmm-Winfellow AGA support?
I think I'd rather see a full & complete OCS/ECS version of WinFellow working first.
But congrats to Paul for initiating contact with a WinFellow developer & an even bigger Thank U to Worfje for his reply & for Winfellow existing!!

When you see some of the Adware so-called Freeware stuff around the place it's refreshing that guys like the WinUAE & Winfellow teams are doing it for the Amiga fans out there-
Well done guys!

I think 7-Zark-7 means full compatability with all games (and Software) that uses the OCS/ECS chipset's before they add AGA support, which I agree with

But if the emulator were made to allow ANY game to work, then it wouldn't matter about the game. If it runs on a real Amiga, the emulator should be able to handle it

Thumbs up

Thank you Amigaboy & Ian-you summed up my thoughts exactly!
Look at something like CCS64 & you have an example of an emulator that essentially works-no major crash bugs, & only the rare game that doesn't work.
Not that I want to seem too critical or either WinFellow or WinUAE-I'd just like to see maybe 2 distinct complete versions of each-a largely bug-free gaming compatible OCS/ECS versions of Winfellow & WinUAE, then having a "complete" version done they can concentrate on an AGA version.

But credit where credit is due for at least having any emulators in the first place!

Another thing to keep in mind is that the first C64 emulator dates back to the late 80's. While a complex beast, it is nowhere near the gargantuan task to emulate that the Amiga is. The Amiga was long thought to be impossible to emulate. The fact that it was ever done is miraculous enough. The often flakiness of the emulation is to be expected and there will be a lot of growing pains.

I'm sorry, but no one is working on WinFellow anymore. I keep the
website up and answer questions I get over the mail, that's it.

Sorry to inform you,

Worfje

Well at least Winuae is much better than it used to be, thanks to Toni's hard work

What a historical thread! Given the complaints of the sound stuttering shambles of the WinUAE 0814/17.x versions on Win9x, it seemed like WinFellow might have been the saviour for low-powered users at the time,at least 'til Toni & co. took over WinUAE.

I still occasionally use the original DOS fellow on my P233 DOS box.

First Amiga EMU I ever used. The memories........

Me too, Drake P166 Win 95. Was speedy. WinUAE is great, but has become too bloated.
