The mouselook exe has significantly lower framerate than before on 060.

That's "good" as it means my 060 specific changes made an impact (that exe doesn't have any 060 changes) Here I really just want to know if "mouse look" works. If it does I can move on, and I'll make 060 binaries with the change included.

Works brilliantly with mouselook here on PiStorm using a USB mouse (which doesn't always work in games), and very fast framerate. Could I, perhaps rather predictably, please request the ability to invert the mouse?

Also, should left mouse button act as a fire button? Or am I just missing a configuration setting? Thanks!

One thing that might help the looks of the game would be to implement some depth cueing. They do have nice looking fog, so making things look darker the further away they are should certainly be possible at negligible cost.

It does have depth cueing, doesn't it? I thought that's exactly how the fog worked already. It just doesn't cue to black.

Note to self.... Expand TKG shade tables and add zonal fog.

Is there a demo version of the game assets to try out the engine with?

Mouse look works fine here - needs invert option though, as has been stated by the other gentleman of fine quality.

Just need an RTG mode and we're done

Were you both experimented on with those glasses that vertically flip your view of the world? It was a famous experiment in which people quickly learned to "see upside down" (technically the right way up, given the retinal inversion of the normal image). It might explain why you associate upwards moving with looking down and vice versa

Well I can't speak for the other guy but when I was much younger I did flight training with the ATC so it most likely comes from that

Yeah but in an FPS game like this, you are walking, not flying. Inversion makes more sense for joystick in a flight sim, IMO. Don't get me wrong though, accessibility options are a Good Thing (TM),

I've always seen it as having a horizontal line through my skull at my ears. I rotate my head forward to look down, I pull my head back to look up. Mouse control in any 3D application is no different to me

I also use inverted mouse whenever I can.
And for the similar reasons as Dunny...
Was playing too much Elite on my C64 (probably first 3D game that I played).

If I want to look up, I lean my head back, I don't lean forwards because that would mean I look at the floor!

You may tilt your head back, but the point is, you raise your eyes upwards when you do so ...

Anyway this is somewhat off topic. Was just meant as a small joke.

It's ok mate, we're all friends in here

I think it boils down to some people treating the screen as their viewport, or the aimsight as a mouse pointer.

Is there no held weapon view in this game? Seems a bit odd.

Yes, LMB should work as a fire button, but the game didn't read it from HW directly instead of looking at input events. Should be fixed in attached executable.

Also added an option to use the mouse wrong (press Y to activate).

You can see which weapon is active in the panel, but apparently no other graphics changes.

This game made me buy Apollo 1240 accelerator.

Setting keys are not saved? It not a big problem, just small annoyance. How about default screen size and and pixel mode?

I have mouse/keyboard (WASD) and window/pixel sizes saved in my config - but iirc you have to do it from the main menu.
