A590 ROM versions

Hi there! Long time lurker, first time poster!

I am currently working on getting my "ideal" Amiga 500 setup and I am getting there slowly but surely!

I have a Rev 6a Amiga 500 running KS3.1 on a ROM switcher with 1.3 and Workbench 3.1, I have 512k trapdoor and an A590 with 2mb Fast RAM onboard, the A590 currently contains a noisy 100mb quantum scsi drive, and, while it works, I certainly wouldn't entrust it with any critical data!

I would like to get a SCSI to SD board and run that inside instead of the rotational drive but the reading I have done so far gives me the feeling that I wouldn't be able to run a drive any bigger than 512mb/1gb (depending on what I read) on the current v6.6 ROMs.

So my question is, is this correct and I don't have any equipment to write to EEPROMs, is there anyone who would be willing to burn me some 7.0+ for a reasonable sum of money or is there some other way?

Pre-v7.0 A590/A2091 ROM driver has 1G limit (only first 1G of larger drive is available for use) which can be fully bypassed if you use direct scsi capable filesystem (PFS3DS, PFSAIO, SFS version before DS support was removed)

That would be good... But I registered an account at AmiBay but woke up to an "Account Banned" email before it had even been activated, yes, even I was confused! And they're not answering my emails?

that happens a lot.. did you use fishy account/profile info?

afaik, the mods are always busy, so won't answer right away..

I´m the guy selling 7.0 roms for A590. You do not have make an account at amibay.

Just send me a pm if you have interest to by one set.
