Teensy 2.0 and A500 keyboard
Guys I found something really interesting on the Atari forum. Some posters managed to get an ST keyboard working with something called Teensy.
It is some kind of usb development board. If they can get that working then can it be done for an A500 keyboard? I have a keyrah already, had to do some messing around cobbling a keybord together and still havent got around to mounting it properly, its a pain. The idea of this Teensy appeals due to how small it is and that means hardly any issues with finding somewhere for it go. |

Teensy or Arduino... I think I know the thread I'm hoping to get one of my STs gutted and with a PC inside so I looked into this. Arduino clones are cheap on eBay too.

Seems like the USB part is done for you.
http://www.pjrc.com/teensy/usb_keyboard.html What's left for you to code is something to interpret the A500 keyboard protocol and pass the relevant keycodes to the USB keyboard library. |
