CD32 adapter for existing original controllers (NOT PSX style)
Has any of our EAB hardware experts considered to design an Amiga CD32 adapter in the near future? For already existing, and known as very good controllers, like the Sega MD/Saturn 6-button or SNES.
I assume it's technically possible, right? Either as an adapter or as a PCB+cable replacement. |

How about doing a kickstarter for a new CD32 joypad casing which will take the new cd32 psx pad guts?

From developing a PS/2 mouse adapter more than a decade and a half ago I learned that some PICs don't pull their IO pins low enough for the Amiga's hybrid analogue/digital IO pins to register. (This normally manifests as the right mouse button not working.) The solution to that is to use an external transistor, but not being an expert in such matters I couldn't find one that switches fast enough when driven to saturation. Anyhow, if anyone's interested in taking on the project I could dig out my old files. |

Thanks for this helpful post, robinsonb5. Maybe somebody is really interested to continue your work. Fingers crossed! Time doesn't matter, i can wait for a proper working CD32 solution, as long as i can use one of my favorite pads for Amiga games.

It seems I got further with this project than I remembered:
http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?t=20780 This didn't get much testing, since the only 6-button Sega pad I have is slightly faulty. |
