Amiga Classix 3 Demo Version released!
I just discovered that Darkage Software/Epic Interactive have apparently released a demo version of their latest Amiga Classix product, Amiga Classix 3.
The demo version features 2 ADFs to play: Zarathrusta & Ziriax. The WinUAE provided is 0.8.14r1. You can grab it right here. I'm surprised they even provided a small free version of it in the first place! AFAIK there were no 'demos' of the first two packs. Still, it's a nice thing to try out and think of. |

Oh, I forgot to mention...
there is also a German-language version of the demo for anyone (who can understand German, or for actual Germans on here really) who's interested. Just give me a yell if you want me to provide the link to the German edition. |

where is the kickstart rom?!?!??! fantasic demo if you have downloaded the kickstart roms elsewhere!!!!!!!!!
if they supply the kickstart rom with the full release, i wonder if Amiga Inc are happy about it, not that i'm defending Amiga Inc. And, aren't all these games available from the net, who doesn't have net access now, if you are into the Amiga scene you'd probably have stripped a few sites of your favourite games. what do these money grabbing gits take us for? i'm probably one of many people that WON'T be buying this fantasic collection of games i already have (jesus, i don't often bitch on EAB!) anyway, while your waiting for your Amiga Classix 3 to be delivered, you could check out Aceroms!!!!! |

Before you go out and buy this CD, be warned that this is a rip-off!
I got the first 2 CDs and from all the games on them, about 1% are commercial games, the rest are PD games with names that sound similar to commercial ones. For example "Defender of the Carrot", a stupid PD game. These CD-ROMs aren't worth their money. The publisher tries to sell them by using screenshots of the good games on the cover, but the rest is the most terrible PD-crap you've ever seen. |

And bear in mind that when you read the info regarding AC3 on Darkage's site, you'll realise it acts a lot differently to the first two. Especially the system requirements. This review might provide a lot more info as well (translated from German with help from Google ): http://translate.google.com/translat...%2B3%26hl%3Den Although I have to agree, I was kinda disappointed with AC1 - they said there would be full versions of many commercial games but the vast majority of them were actually playable demos. And AC2 - well, I don't yet have a comment on this one right now. |
