Screen suddenly went black

I just switched the Amiga on, opened the PCMCIA/CF drive and the screen went black. I have removed the accelerator & FPU but the problem still exists. The drives are still operational and the FastFloppy display is working as normal, just no screen. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be the problem?

Amiga what? A600, A1200 etc..?
Opened the PCMCIA/CF? What do you mean by this?
What monitor cable connection are you using? RGB? Scandoubler? Composite?
The drives are working? So you put in a bootable floppy disk and it appears to boot?

Panic over, I just went through reseating all the cabling, and as if by magic, Workbench appeared again...
