installing latest winuae question

hi, if i install 1.5.3 on the same pc where i have 1.2, will it overwrite the older install ?
i ask this cos when installing older versions, they were 'full installs', ie, they came as an exe and wrote to the registry etc,and replaced the other version,

but ive noticed 1.5.3 is just a zip file that can be just extracted into whatever folder, with no actual install process as such, will it detect or replace my 1.2 when i actually run it ? (and does that mean i cud just move the 1.5.3 folder directly to another pc in future and just run it from that folder, with no new install process, ?)

Yup, that was what I wanted to tell you all the time Just extract the contents of the zip to a new folder and start WinUAE.exe. Nothing more needed

Just unpack winuae.exe. Nothing else is needed (except possibly in plugins-directory but so far they have been in separate package)

And remember for easy copy-and-use-in-another-pc-or-external-drive, don't use absolute paths on configurations, roms, etc like for example:

C:\emulators\winuae\roms

use just:

\winuae\roms

i do have an interseting sound issue with the game gods in winuae 1.5.3, im in the process of investigating and comparing with winuae 1.2, im hoping to post the prob within the next half hour.
