Difference is most likely enabled options in trainer. (by looking at the code, it probably is ingame keys or something like that that has the bug)

It has nothing to do with OS version.

Hmm... but would that explain the save-states? It would explain how one release can work for one, and not for the other, if we use different options in the trainer, but not how Druid can keep playing on my save-state, but I can't.

Surely the trainer-options would be set to the same, when he's using my save-state, and vice versa?

I can't see how this can work (It crashes here too) except if you use different images.

I have swapped the disk with mine, but Predabot tried the same and it crashed again. I can open the save-state and get to the next level. Should I post my logs too?

Okay, CRC32 of my second disk is : 68CE73A7 (Apidya (1994)(Team 17)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr QTX][t +40 ATX][budget])

Edit : Here is what I do :
Load the 'Apidya1.uss' savestate
Start the emulation
Enter the GUI with F12
Insert my second disk in DF0:
Set the floppy speed to 100%

How do I check the CRC32 guys? Sorry to ask all these newbies questions, but well, I guess it comes with being a newbie.

Thanks for the link Retro, but my Avast insists that the Zip is infected with a trojan.

I'm not sure if it's a false positive, so could you perhaps check it with your virus-program?

You can also check the CRC32 with a pack program like WinZip or WinRAR. Just pack your disk and open the archive afterwards. There you should find a column with the CRC32 value

Same image, not working and I still can't see how it work (except if you do something that causes the trainer to do something differently)

Like I said before, I would really like to know if someone can reproduce that Apidya loads the next stage with the steps described in post #47. I attach the savestate here again.

Cyber: Excellent advice! Here's the info:

Apidya (1992)(Kaiko - Play Byte)[cr QTX][t +40 ATX](Disk 2 of 2).adf
68CE73A7

What kind of information is contained in a CRC32 code btw? Is it a 32-bit string written in hexadecimal? Interesting if this will in the future be a CRC64, with the evolution of compression and other programs.

It's a checksum MD5 would be something like CRC64.

Cyber: I ussually do precisely the same steps as you do, when I load the state, but with the difference that I've already got disc 2 in the drive, since it was needed on an earlier level.

So you also change the floppy speed? Maybe Retro could test the savestate for us, so we have another result

Hmm, no I don't change the speed, it's already set to 100% compatible.

But yeah, that would be awesome if Retro could try it, especially if he's got Vista.

I believe Retro stated recently that it loaded for him? I asked him in PM, and I think he also mentioned that he's got XP instead of Vista.

Is that right, Retro?

Yes, i'm using XP. I get the same grey screen after the robot level and the Quartex+40 crack crashes with a guru, after you changed the disk.

But only with Predabots savestate from this thread. I've played (rushed) through the Quartex crack without issues. Expect that this lame trainer switches to "easy" mode, if you use the level-skip.
