Chuck's World and Peroxide Girl

Does anyone remember seeing any of Steve Packer's animations or slide shows? Supposedly they were quite popular on the PD circuit (listed as 'Steve's anims' in some magazine ads), but I can't find any trace of them. From the screenshots I've seen they look a bit like the cast of Southpark.

The characters were also going to star in their own games at one point, to be published by Fission Soft. A couple of screenshots emerged, then nothing.

It might be fun to YouTube 'em if I can get hold of the ADFs. The animated demos I mean.

Ah-ha, interesting, thanks. Not quite what I was expecting - it's sort of proof of concept stuff without a narrative like you'd get with Eric Schwartz's work for example. Maybe the characters evolved with the later releases.

I have not seen those animations, but I remember many previews for that two games. I can look for them and post them here.

Cheers. I'll check them out when I get home.

I've read a couple of quick columns on them in UK mag news sections, but there wasn't a lot to report beyond the intention to turn the rolling demos into playable games.

I've now had chance to take a proper look. That could have been good fun if it played as well as it looks. The unusual art style alone would have drawn attention to it. I love the themed versions of the main sprites, very cute... Batman, Spiderman, Robocop etc. We can't say it borrowed from Southpark because that didn't debut until 1997. Bit of an obscure inspiration if it worked the other way round.
