Any experiences with installing on real CF with Linux+FS-UAE?
Does FS-UAE 2.7.14-dev support installing a real CF like WinUAE does? I have not seen anyone else doing it. Anyone have experience with it?
I'm having a hard time getting a real CF card installed. Long explanation: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=83640&page=2 Short explanation: I have 2 16GB CF cards. A Sandisk one, and a nameless one. I have 2 machines. One with WinUAE and a external card reader. One with Arch Linux+FS-UAE and an internal card reader. When installing on the WinUAE machine + CF Reader with all kinds of scsi.device versions and newest PFS AIO version. When I copy 6GB of games I always end up with a PFS3 Wrong Index Block ID. On both CF cards. So my conclusion is the CF reader is broken. When installing using FS-UAE I don't get any PFS3 errors but it will stop copying half way. No errors, Dopus just sits there waiting. I can resume but I never ended up with a working installation. Somewhere along the way the CF card gets corrupted or it doesn't boot on the real amiga. When I tried formatting the last partition it said it couldn't create the trash can. I use 128MB Z3 ram and JIT is enabled. Real amiga has kickstart 3.0 BTW Last edited by StarQuake; 11 August 2016 at 11:15. |
