Actually I keep wondering where Toni keeps finding the time to keep those new releases coming so fast after one another, if you keep track of other emulators, you'll find that winuae development aces in terms of speed.
What I'm wondering about is how close we are to a 1.0 release. Is it just me or is winuae not a pretty complete emulator with all major bugs and compatibility issues ironed out?
Probably there's a roadmap somewhere but haven't seen it so far.

Anyway, thank the gods for people like Toni

I hope he release a version before that because i want one now ... i think that its incredible that winuae is free!! a such a good program should be rewarded! but i'm not shure that toni can charge for it. i think the sources is opensource or something from the begining. but donations but be in its place.

Well ... i don't get the point why you need a new version if you don't seem to have a problem or if you aren't missing an specific feature promised in one of the next versions ?!?

Some people like updates because the version number rises

Smile If it isn,t broke ?......why fix it ?

... A good point Wintermute ......everyones a critic ..and each has their own idea wot needs changing to make it perfect for
" Them " . I believe Toni,s stirling work has helped keep this aged platform more accessable to strays and newcomers who are looking for a change or remembering " the good old days " and yes those who want to tell everyone in the schoolyard that theirs is newer , bigger etc ..............you know BOFS like me

btw: nice to see a fan of the Freak Brothers / U-Comix

Yes, i like to see newer versions because of the version number rises .. and also see whats hot in the new version. You know, to read the info file is like unwrapping a Xmas present to read about all those nice improvement, new features and bug fixes.

And i'm not a newbie in the amiga scene!
Got my first Amiga 500 back in 88. (stupidly) sold my last amiga system in 2000. I have always been an amiga fan and i think that pc systems really suck horse shit!

*lol* Ok, the point with the Xmas present is somehow right

btw: my first computer was the vic20 from commodore. loooong ago =) i had nearly all popular homecomputers from then on (many of them from friends when they bought a new system ... )
I never get my hands on the PET however.
A strange fact: even when i had my A4000 later i still put more time in my old A500+ (a "bit" modified ).
What i miss most from these old days? May be the "feeling" and the fact not EVERY household had a computer ... but surely the whole tinkering (made my own modified audio-filter, NMI Button, Boot Selector, hard reset etc.) ...
Nostalgia *lol*

@WintermuteX
ummm ... are you saying that Ghostrider is inoperable without NMI support?
At least basic functionality should be there with current builds (should) (?)

@andreas: Well ... without NMI support you can't upfire Ghostrider. You need the NMI to get into Ghostrider after launching a game or so. I tried other Non-Sys Mon's on my Amiga, but Ghostrider and BigBrother worked best for me (but only with the NMI to trigger them ... "*" or RMB isn't really an option).
I'm going to test HRTMon as mentioned by others .. maybe in a few minutes
AR3 is nice, but no 020 and up and no kick 2.0+ ...
The funny thing: i had kick 37.300 and AR3 (3.17) working on my A500+ ... later i added a 030/882 turbocard, an oktagon and still later a zorro II adapter and a buddha controller ... i shadowkicked my kickstart with an blizzard turbo memory board (14Mhz 68000 Turbocard with 512KB shadowmem to put an kickstart writeprotected inside) had those card under my derringer to use this feature with later too
so i had to use non-sys mon's with NMI support to get my "cartridge" back =)
as long as a game or programm doesn't mess with the interrupt table, you could jump into the mon whenever you like.
