trackdisk.device + slow ram - not friendly with one another?
Okay, very very very simple question. Is there any way to make trackdisk.device - aka JSR -1C8(A6) - actually write data into slow memory - aka - $C00000+ - ?
I tried to do this but although the disk goes past the tracks as per usual the data I want written never actually appears in that section of memory afterwards. Is there another command I need to run first before invoking that JSR or is it never going to be possible in a gajillion years? |

It's been possible for 25 years or so, since Kickstart 2.0. If you're on 1.4 or earlier you have to load to chipmem and copy from there.

really? can't remember I ever ran into that td.device requires a chipmem buffer.. suppose it uses the blitter for the mfm codec then?
