oh dear!
one ofthe best games ever created and you cant play it. there are numerous legit options to get the manual if you cant get it free. trust me it is worth paying to get the manual. and the sites for the game are great. frontierverse is class.

I understand you wanting the original, or the manual, but don't ask for a cracked ver as it is piss-easy to find on the net!

Or ebay for the original game there is usually one knocking about.
Does only the amiga manual work or will say the PC version also work? |

Hello everyone.
I thought I'd dig out my CD32 at the weekend, and have a bash at my old favourite - Frontier Elite II. I was as surprised as anything to load my 9 year old save game file, and discover that I had an Eagle Mk3 with 100 shield generators, class 7 hyperdrive, 50 cabins(!), etc. Can anyone remember how to activate this cheat, and obtain inifinite cargo capacity? That way, I can enjoy the game once again using WinUAE on the *whispers* PC. I'm sure it will be mentioned in an Amiga Format issue somewhere, but I'll be damned if I trawl through all my old issues! Thanks, m.m |

Well if you have the trainer
its Del to activate it Left shift + p - shields d - drive s - ship 0 - More gun mountings 1>4 - biggers guns r - clean criminal recort c - cabins z or y - cargo m - $$$ f - fuel A / q / w - Get higher rank <after a job or dogfight Right shift + those keys make it Less |

Cheers, Dr, Dude. I didn't know about the trainer mode, so I'll give that a try later (though obviously not on my keyboard-less CD32!).
I also found the actual cheat I was looking for in the games database on this site - so that will teach me for not performing a search before I post a query. For more cargo buy at least one ton of rubbish and go to a system where you won't be caught for dumping it. Then go to the cargo screen and click a bit below the rubbish box. You should notice that the remaining cargo has gone up but the ammount of rubbish has stayed the same. Keep doing this and soon you'll have enough cargo space to get a large plasma accelator. If you do this in a small ship, eventually you'll be able to buy a class 7 hyperdrive and jump a long way across the galaxy with somewhere around 50 tons of fuel. Now, I'm off for a three month long session of Frontier! |
