Virtual "Fifth" audio channel
This goes beyond emulation, but I'll drop the idea. Many games, due to hardware limitation, when for example a sound effect is heard they cut off a 'music' channel. The first Turrican springs to mind (just hold the fire button to get the beam, and the music is chopped) also Captain Planet, and many more.
It would be nice to have that one solved. But it would almost mean having to 'create' a different Amiga model, right? |

lmao, a new paula chip and a re-code for every game for which the "fifth" channel would be used.
not a hope in hell of ever happening. anyway, limitations are cool... they make coders/artists push more out of what they have. |

Yeah, you are right about the games too... I doubt that they would nicely play all 'five' channels, were they to be presented with an emulated 'Super-Paula' five-channel Amiga.
I wonder what would happen though. Plain old guru I guess. I mean, the channel cut was controlled and handled by the games, solely by the Amiga hardware or a combination of both, depending on the game's code? |

you would never even get that far. It's just too much work.
