If it's a different format, what kind of format it is ?

Out of curiosity, are you able to rip it anyway ?

Mark II Soundsystem is the name of the format. If you scroll down to the Music section of the link you posted above, you can click on the format to see the other tunes in the database in the same format.

http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/release.php?id=31368

I'm not familiar with the format but it looks like it wasn't widely used. A quick google search found this;

http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=34768

As for ripping the tune, you'd need to find a music ripper tool that deals with the Mark II format. As it doesn't seem that widely used, it's unlikely.

ExoticRipper would be your best bet. But even if its not supported by any ripper, it's not "impossible" to rip.

It's not a standard Mark II module. Most probably a custom made tune+replayer for that very intro.

I already tried ExoticRipper + other rippers .... no success

So, StingRay the info on Janeway is wrong

It's not "Mark II" but a "Delitracker custom" module

Out of curiosity, how it's possible to rip a "Delitracker custom" module ?

It's not a "Delitracker custom module", Delitracker didn't even exist when this intro was made. It simply is a custom module with own replayer. And can be ripped like any other tune, replayer and tune data need to be located (which is very easy as you only need to check for accesses to sound registers) and then it can be converted to a custom module which can be replayed by Delitracker and/or Eagleplayer.

custom replayer/module: can be anything.
Delitracker custom module (the one you linked to): module/replayer converted to a special format that can be replayed by Delitracker.

I'm curious about this one

http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/release.php?id=84309

Is this module really a FuturePlayer one ?

I mean the playback in EaglePlayer is really different than the intro

Ok, i see, thanks

So, it's only a question of timing it seems

Module in the intro is played slowly compared to the "original"

Code needs more than 1 frame on a 68000 machine hence the module is replayed too slowly.

I know one, which is in a game called gateway ypsilon, the ingame music is very cool, but from a unknown format i guess, because its not to rip with existing ripper. Wondering how that is done even i a memdump, i can not find it.....
