Trap Door Cards

i found 2 trap door cards..
i need to know what they are for, i know one is ram but not sure on the size of the ram.
they came from a a500's..

card 1: ( Ram )
small board with 4 surface mounted chips each labled OKI M514256A. it has a switch which desables ram and 3 weird looking things.
there are some markings on it:
AMRAM - NC - ISSUE 2

card2: ( ? )
small board with 4 surface mounted chips labled HY51C4256S Korea.
it has 14 transistors ( Gold Brown Grey Blue ) and a switch labled no.
There are markings all over it: V4256 Rev 2.4, (c) 1990 DJ, A5

they are both 512KB ram expansion cards.
