Amiga 4000 clock problems

Hello,

i've just installed a coin battery kit replacement, but it does not keep the date/time.

The coin battery is ok, any idea on what could be the problem ?

Did the old battery leak and cause any damage?

Using a multimeter and the A4000 schematics, measure that the power and ground make a connection from the coin cell to the clock chip.

As jope said.

But 9 times out of 10, its battery leakage as steve said.
Could be clock latching chip, clock chip or track damage.

Check the legs and board for corrosion.

There's no leakage, and no corrosion near the battery...

Where is located the clock chip ?

Photo's may help.

Richo chip is the clock one. latching is to the left of battery, if looking at board with memory slots on right.
