Another Possible Amiga Treasure Chest
Have recently found and revived my trusty ole amiga 1200 and found everything intact and working, which means my 800+ meg backup section is working, which means about 600+ megs of games and 200 of demos. Hopefully something on the HD may be of use to the community.
Couple of questions before i have a fiddle with it 1) Whats the easiest way to transfer from a Amiga formatted IDE drive to a PC ntfs partition 2) Is software available on the PC to convert DMS files to adf's??? Any thoughts on this will be greatly recieved |

If you set up your Amiga hard drive on your PC you can mount it in WinUAE and copy the files from there.
There are a few DOS utilities to convert DMS archives to ADF e.g. xDMS: http://modeemi.cs.tut.fi/~shd/xdms/ |

if you got stuff as .DMS's .. Leave em .. Dont 'convert' em .. DMS's are exciting with .nfo and .diz's attached.

i made script to convert fast all dms archives to adfs in a directory
just place it in a dir and run dms2adf.bat

Better suggestion:
burn a CD, make an ISO and upload it to one of the guys' FTPs!  Who knows whether you don't happen to have the one or the other rare crack amongst your stuff!
