I've gotta check my geography next time. I don't recall the US being there.

I could imagine another problem with winUAE - kaillera which isn't based on bandwidth, but more computer power. If one person lags in the game then what? Apparently WinUAE is sensitive to some...unfortunate, computer setups such as my older one.

What about winfellow kaillera? I know someone released a version of that. Anyone tried that?

Game suggestion: Sensi Golf. Shameless brag: if it were possible to attain a black belt in it, I would have one.

The game is turn-based, so low-bandwidth members could participate without problems. And get beat.

A Battlechess tourney also sounds attractive.

Sensigolf needs too many quick reactions for the swinging, it wouldn't be playable with lag.

And just for the record, my ping with Abime was in the average of 440 too..

We really ought to at least get a way to plan games so we could play with each other over the net.

Besides the Tournament, I will install a Server these days and we can start a little test session, maybe we can compare WinUAE Kaillera and WinFellow Kaillera then

Nothing serious, just for testing and having some fun

Just to let you guys know: I betatested the new version of Winuae-Kaillera yesterday with Sane and you wont recognize it back. We played Lemmings over one hour, never got a desync, played at 50 fps steady, and the game was very predicteable in terms of controls and it worked the first time we switched it on (a few minor bugs aside). We had a 200 ms ping to the central server. Ofcourse, I won, hehe ;p
I am still a bit awed by the way it worked yesterday, and imho I can say that when Sane has released this new version, it will *change the way you do amiga emulation gaming*.
Ofcourse, only when people get to know it
So when he releases it, help out a little to make it public.

hey Kodo, play with me :P I was about to suggest Winfellow Kaillera instead of WinUAE Kaillera.

I would also like to add a game that wouldn't need MAD ping times (I get 328ms! argentinian networks suck): Arcade Pool by Team 17! Id like to kick some arse in this... FUCK! I just remembered this game is played by one mouse

Id like to try the iwnfellow kaillera anyway

This shouldn't be a problem in Release 2 - the controls are now shared by all players!

One question gentlemen... when it comes to playing Kaillera games, do they have to be the ADF versions or can i play via a Whdload version of the game? Please say the latter is possible!!!

The latter is possible, as long as you make sure you share it with your multiplayer counterpart. If you have a different configuration in terms of installed software, it ofcourse will fail as you are "sharing a computer" kinda. The only difference being that the computer has 2 screens, two hd's, two (four?) floppies, two joysticks, two mouses etc, all connected by a thin wire of TCP/IP
Strange, come to think of it, but true hehe ;p

Love the idea. I'm not interested in anything but Lemmings though, tbh. It was 1994 last time I played it, and I was nine years old, but hell I'd love it.

Bad news - only on a 56k modem...
Good news - should be getting broadband soon...
Bad news - His Tonyness doesn't want to give village folk broadband...:cty:
