The mystery of transparent buttons in MUI4 and Scalos....
I found some time to play around a litle bit with Scalos on amikit.
But for some reason I can't get the buttons transparent. No matter if i try the scalos internal or my custom button set that works fine on other systems. The thumbnail preview also doesnt work.(might be related to something else) On my main system it works fine. The strange thing is that Amikit has transparent MUI OS4 buttons but my own setup doesn't. Has anyone an idea what I can do to have transparency on both, MUI(png 32 bit with mask) and Scalos(8bit iff with color0 mask)? Everything related to the problem looks equal on both systems but I forgot to remove the old PNG datatype on my old install. The mystery(here it comes) is that if I remove the Gunter Nikl png datatype on my old scalos it looks like the one on Amikt. But I will have tranparent OS4 pics in MUI. What the h... is going on here. Scalos does not even use png for the buttonset... Attached a very informative screenshot(at least I hope so)... |

Not totaly solved but - sort of....
I didn' give up, I just changed the direction... Do it yourself!
So if anyone needs the FourOne set in IFF format as .mf0 and .mf1 I would share them. Not perfect yet but I'm happy with the result.I wonder since when MUI has such a great color management. It tried it some time ago but the colors got all messed up. Since I'm not sure if it is leagal to attach the images, here is a screenshot. |
