My scanner (VT-Schutz 3.17) also reports Saddam1, and yes, it's on a block declared as FREE, as you said - correct.

Can't wait for the final version now, might have to re-scan PILES of disks [edit] Quote:

Sorry for the delay, but I had to finish the new PC Games That Weren't website first. No spare time was left to compile the new release of ADFScan.
@andreas: Yes, they were already recognized by version 1.8e. Without deep scan, ADFScan will only recognized boot block viruses. |

So this scans ADF files. What about bootable directories? Does it scan them as well? And btw what happens if an amiga virus infects a bootable directory? Will the virus continue to cause havoc on my hd?
Other than that it is a decent program you've written. |

Anyway, I'm still too busy to compile a final release, so I've decided to release the Beta version of ADFScan 1.9. It's quite stable and should work flawlessly. However, I don't recommend using it as a replacement for ADFScan 1.8! Here's the download link: http://www.amigabase.de/adfscan19b1.zip |

Would it be possible to have an option of renaming the file for you!
Like it'll append a [v virusname] to the end of the filename (before the .adf obv)? |

@jjsmith: I think ADFScan already recognize them all. Unless you have a very exotic collection of boot-block viruses.
@bippym: That would be too complicated. Apart from that, I'm not working on ADFScan anymore. Maybe I'll continue working on it some day, but chances aren't that high... |
