Are there any Star Wars demos out there? And if so could you please tell me where I can get hold of them?
Also is there any Battlestar Galactica/V (the series) stuff I should know about? Thanx Zeewolf |

No Luck
No, I've had no luck in that department I'm afraid.
There was usually quite a bit of Star Wars PD floating about but none of it was actually demo's, more card games or gavity force type games. I'm not actually aware of any Star Wars demos existing. |

I remember a "Walker" demo
I remember a demo which had a raytraced Walker from Star Wars. I have seen this screenshot in one of my Amiga magazines. I am not sure what the name of that demo is -I have to read through all these magazines.
If I have found it, I'll let you know. |

Star Wars Walker
The Star Wars Walker appeared in several Eric Schwartz animations e.g. Amy Vs The Walker.

Star Wars?
...and there was a little intro by Alchemy (PL), called "Star Wars" - it was a third or second part of "The useless 24kB trilogy". It was a digitized animation from SW, packed into 24 kilobytes...

Yeah Alchemy 1993 / Rage is the only one I can remember, however I searched the scene archives and found these prods:
Star Wars Demo / Sundox Star Wars / Jokers Star Wars Scroll / Byterappers Star Wars Scroller / Aspect Star Wars Slideshow / Gary Owens Stavro's Star Wars / Dangerous Darkys There were also heaps of Star Wars anims released by Tobias Richter |

There was an anim called "Last stand on hoth" that's meant to be really good. About what happens on Hoth after the main characters flee.

There was a very short but very good vector animation of a light saber fight between ObiWan and Vader. It is on Aminet, but I can't for the life of me remember the name. It is fairly old, and only a 4 colour affair, but I liked it. I'll see if I can dig it out when I get home.

Joker
Yeah... sorry. The intro called "Star Wars" was a Joker production, not Alchemy. Sorry

The music and ICE logo by Jugi were very cool. I've got it on a UK Demo compilation by Flash Productions. I've copied the file off and you can get it Here Anyone Remember it? Thalion Webshrine http://thalion.atari.org Last edited by alexh; 28 March 2007 at 11:34. |

I used to have a demo with a digitized (in black/white) sequence of a lightsaber battle between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker from one of the movies. I have no idea what the demo is called or who made it though, but I believe it was released somewhere between 1990 and 1992. Does this sound familiar to anyone? What would the name be?
