WHD Cruise for a Corpse unsupported version?

Just tried submitting a formal bug report on this, but it gave me an error message, thinking my submission was spam

. So posting here instead.

At any rate, I used to have the 5-disk, US, NTSC version of Cruise for a Corpse working fine with the old v1.3 of the slave. I just tried reinstalling with the new v2.1-B and now I get the familiar "disks damaged/unsupported version" error.

Theories:
-Support for the NTSC version was accidentally lost when the slave was rewritten in v2.0?

-I can't recall if I did my v1.3 install with original disks, but I did the v2.1-B install with ADF images inserted into diskimage.device. The ADFs were generated from my original disks. Could the ADFs be bad?

-Did something fail in the install process and the data was not decrunched/assembled correctly? I did not see any error messages during the install.

However, I also tried updating my v1.3 install by following the instructions in the readme (copy disk 1's "s" to the data directory) and got the same error.

Wild guess but are you using a cracked version? These have been modified to call a crack patch hence the CRC differs from the original version.
