Wiroma collection
I uploaded a collection of software from an argentine shop a while back. I noticed someone converted it to ADF or something. Has any progress been made with this? I Haven't checked much of the collection but I bet there's useful things within.
Who sorted the upload to ADF files? Does it ever get into the Collections folder for everyone to download? This is the main reason I uploaded, so everyone has access to it, but it's still not available. |

No idea who converted them to ADF, but if you give me an appropiate subfolder of 'Commodore_Amiga/Collection', I'll move them there.

Well this was a pirate store, so I guess BBS might be the most appropriate? Even thought it WASN'T A BBS but a store on the high street.
there seem to be a lot of disks not in TOSEC, argentine cracks from recrackers/distributors like Bad Boy. The TOSEC guys should take a look at this stuff. I can't personally go through the ~900 disks this collection has but I know someone will. I just wanted to upload it for the benefit of everybody. There's more packs of disks from this store but I can't find it, maybe someone (elpiloto?) has them. |

Moved to that folder (the non-TOSEC ones). Thanks for the upload

Hopefully someone can help out cataloguing those disks. Who is the main TOSEC guy here? Still would like to know who converted them to ADF and sorted out the non TOSEC ones. Thanks for your help whoever you are.
I'll tart working on cataloguing the contents as soon as I can. |

mai is in charge of the commercial games and Crashdisk maintains the PD games (and other Amiga related DATs).

I went back to this collection and see that there are 918 disks not recognized by the latest TOSEC dat files.
What's next now? Should I check every single one of them to see what's in it and start renaming, or is this a waste of my time? I am sure there are a lot of argentine hacks and cracks in there. Would be good to preserve them and have them cataloged properly. But I would like to know in case anybody else started doing this, so I don't waste my time, because this is a LOT of disks to check. |

Wiroma is a collection of many many different stuff of which some is already in TOSEC. It is neccessary to sort out what is already included and to identify only the unique stuff.

I know it is, but I don't know how people do it. I started this tedious task and have renamed about 10% yesterday.
As I said the latest DATs rcognize at least 400 disks but the rest they do not, so I already filtered out what automatically is already in TOSEC. I already encountered stuff that isn't in TOSEC (new cracks and argentine hacks/recracks) but some that are different only because there's a save game or corrupt sectors. There's also some virus damaged disks. Anyway I guess that if nobody is doing it, I might as well keep going. I uploaded this publicly at the EAB FTP so I should own up to the responsibility :P |
