Enemy: Tempest of Violence

I am completely stuck on level 16 (level code CHASE), at the bit where I set off the alarm.

I have actually been able to fluke my way past it a couple of times by running and occasionally firing a few shots behind me (must be sure to have a couple of bullets left, 1 to open a door, and another to activate a lift). But this really is a fluke and the chances I will get past it with enough time left to finish the level are very slim (considering about 9 time out of ten I don't make it at all) .

Surely there is some technique which I have not considered. Or failing that, I could just skip the level with the code for the next level. Please help.

Before posting, do not suggest:
-Using the easy play version, as I already am.
-The level code "WAFFE", as I am playing the english version.

Check the room with the alarm: there is a small black power cable on the ceiling. Just destroy this with one bullet, so the alarm is deactivated.

I must take this opportunity to thank Andre from Anachronia for his help here, and for creating one of the best (and hardest) Amiga games . I sent him an email linking to this thread and he replied within a few hours. Also I was sent a pic illustrating the problem cable which I have attached here.

The attached map shows you one possible way for level 6. If you find scientists: shoot, so they can hear you and follow you. In the last room, wait until all civilians have left the sector (aim the weapon to the exit).

Sorry for reanimating this old thread, but is there actually a solution for this game, somewhere? Just wondering because the picture above looks so well done, I wonder if there is actually more to explore.

I must admit I am already stuck on level two, so having the option to look at a map or somewhere would actually be nice.

Yes, but it has some hints in it.

Ok, yes, but I was more thinking of a classic walkthrough.

I always missed this game, but got hooked a few days ago. Having two sons means my time is limited, but I'd still like to play it as thoroughly as possible.

Maybe this helps. Looks like the "Easy Play" version was used though.

Ah, good idea. Easy Play is fine... Thanks, too.
