PP Hammer - good suggestion. Haven't played that for years but always enjoyed it.

Yo! Joe. But although the boss is talking about his castle, it looks more like a mansion.

How about Trapped and Trapped 2? They had some castle content I think. Also, there was a very atmospheric playable demo from around the time when people were arguing if Doom was possible on an Amiga, around '94/'95? I think it was called Poom, ought to be on Aminet. I remember some tasty castle walls, with lots of atmosphere and darkness. Very cool, certainly at the time. |

Myth. There's a castle in the Viking level.
In modern games, Mount & Blade lets you storm castles, capture castles, run around in castles with troops, and defend your castle against sieges. |

When it comes to castles, you can't miss out on the title Dark Castle for the miggy (though the Mac version was better):

Too many words in that Mount & Blade review - over 15,000! I bought on the back of this Bucket Bros review.

The mistery of aarendarvon castle
Is a text based castle adventure for the ZX Spectrum. It came complete with a book containing the games source code for the Aladin interpreter. And has the unique ability that you can map out the diffrent rooms with which you can eventually manually draw a map of the entire castle |
