Games (tm) poll rates Amiga 9th
Games(tm) magazine rates the Amiga 9th in its...
Greatest games machines of all time poll.. 15. Gameboy 14. Nes 13. Zx spectrum 12. Commodore 64 11. GameCube 10. PC 9. Amiga 8. Playstation 3 7. Dreamcast 6. Mega drive 5. Nintendo 64 4. Playstation 3. Playstation 2 2. Super nes 1. Xbox 360 "Amiga gamers famously refused to let go of the format for years after commodore's demise in 1994, and, if the results of games (tm)'s poll are anything to go by, that passion still burns strong to this day" Last edited by Djay; 20 January 2012 at 01:35. |

I'm sure you could massage the poll data, eg. scale votes by years since production ended, to put amiga or c64 at #1. Also, no mention of bat & ball, WTF!

It looks to me like the 15 best in random order, because not many parts of the placements makes any sense. xbox 360 best ever game console? who are the judges, 14 year olds? or what are the criterias, number of fps games?

Well this doesn't really mean much does it. On the one hand Amiga beats the 360 and visa versa. Same for Amiga vs Snes etc
And where's the epic VCS in all of this Glad i can play them all then |

It's funny that the Gameboy is there, but none of Gamegear, GB Color, GB Advance nor DS are, all of which were better than the crap the original GB was. Wii isn't on there either. The list does look like the subjective opinion of just a handful of people.

Because of its blurry non-lit screen in 4 shades of cheese/snot/puke. The other competing devices had back-lit color screens.

Well no, that's very much exaggerated. My whole point was that if someone finds the GB to be good, why would they find the GB Color, which is pretty much the same device but with color screen, to be not as good and rank it lower in the list?

The old gen era is lost on these kinds of 'magazines'. They should really start to show some respect.

The creepy thing is that on new forums in 'retro' there are only PS2, GC, DC, DS.
