Last thing the PC needs is more Consoletard ports and indie dross! Steam is getting to be a major cess pool of indie shit!! Mind you, so is GOG!!!

Wait, you're venting _only_ against shitty indie games and not indie in general right? Because indie has been one of the best things to happen to the PC market in years

You mean in the same vein as DLC/Early Access/Episodic are the best thing to happen to PC gaming?

Second that gimbal has said. Indie is really good thing that has happened to PC gaming.

Sure, there is a some trash out there, but there are some real gems as well.

Gog.com original idea was clearly limited to 'good' old games, but guess what, soon you run out of those... and to expend business they had not much options...

LOL, you must 'like' $40 games chopped it into DLC and sold for around $60

'Some' trash? You mean like 99.9%?

Too harsh. 99.1% is probably more accurate.

Nope, there's no way a sane person can say something like that.

I'm referring to games like Undertale being successful and selling shitloads - it's one of the best games ever and it would've never been made if there wasn't such a big opportunity for indie developers right now.

So yes, indie is awesome as long as you wade through the crap made just to get a quick buck by inexperienced/lousy "devs"

That's the issue, there is just TOO MUCH crap to wade through just to find the handful of games that are actually worth looking at, that's what's wrong with the indie scene, no regulation so any crap gets released.

This makes me wonder did amiga scene bother you back in day with their AMOS crap-load of games/utilities?

You're not obliged to buy any indie games, only reason I have quite large amount of them is because I buy bundles, usually if I like 1-2 games, it is enough for me to buy a whole bundle. I still try to play them all and give them some time... as sometimes you in just for surprise.

From recently played games: unEpic, Braid, Terraria, all games from series 12 Labours of Hercules, Ancient Planet, War in a Box, Trine series, Torchlight series, ... and many others including many remakes...

So, what is wrong with having many games to choose from??

EDIT: It appears GOG.com is listening to you, and it's starting something like early access games on steam... https://www.gog.com/?utm_source=news...pment_Tiles_EN

All this list proves is there are some pricks with more money than sense playing and sinking endless money into free to play games on pc.

Look at how poor sales are for gta 5.

Way lower than console digital sales and that's only about 20% off the console market.

So the morale is release a game for free and hope to God some suckers get involved

@Anubis: Yes, now GOG have jumped on the Early Access scam too with 'Games in Development'! Somehow I don't think you need 14 days to decide if it's shit, 14 seconds should be enough

I've played F2P game for few years and it is incredible how much money some folks put into the game, but all are design that you can progress without paying, but will take your life...

Not something nice to be hooked on...

The same goes for mobile gaming too, oh it's FREE to download alright but not to actually keep playing! Remember Dungeon Keeper and the £70 'Best Value' gem purchase!!
