Well.. from a gamers perspective I probably would have had a megadrive and played japanese RPGs.
But from a more fun "IRL" perspective I probably would have been flipping burgers McD or been a failed musician without my amiga. |

I never owned an Amiga. I had a used Atari STFM from a friend who bought an Amiga 1200. I spent a LOT of time on both machines, but of course favoured playing his Amiga 1200.
There will never be a gaming experience anywhere near the Amiga. The Atari ST was pale in most every respect. Though I did like it. Oh yes, and I used to brag about Oids and Super Sprint. |

I was planning on an Atari ST, but a friend of a friend sat me down for an intervention.

Well, Vodley, like THB here, I was a poor fuck back in 1991. So a used Atari ST which could allow me to play the same games offered on the Amiga to a reasonably close degree was a deal.

PC, no doubt. I think I would be completely in the world of DOS-games and some games designed to Win98/Win98. Well now I mostly play old Amiga games instead of building a PC with older components that would run all the older games...

Can someone delete this thread?
Because if the amiga didn't exist this forum wouldn't be here, I wouldn't be posting this and I might be doing something productive |

No Amiga = Total chaos!
Who else would guide me thru teen age? Who else would educate me in the ways of life and filled those boring winter nights with Strip Poker games as well as helped me made new friends at school... those everlasting weekend afternoons playing Moonstone and Lotus with friends? The answer is: NO ONE! |

I so nearly bought an STe, but went for an A500 at the last moment. I'd probably have got a Falcon later on too. If there was no Atari, it's likely I would have gone Acorn Archimedes then A3000.
