Best games were Dynamite Dux, Bug Bomber, Blues Brothers and Micro Machines. Dynamite Dux was a real blast, always punching each other silly Crack Down also wasn't half bad when playing together. Other games... Supercars 2, Joe & Mac... Amiga ruled for multiplayer.

Edit: just had to add Brutal Sports Football. Amazingly good fun

Was Micro Machines 2 never released for the Amiga (not in HOL)? I remember playing that with four people crammed behind a single pc... Now THAT was pure, clean and healthy fun.

Did you ever get to play anyone but the Viking guys? I kept waiting, but perhaps I never got far enough in the leagues.

In single player you eventually get to play against lizards and rhinos. They are both a pain in the butt as they can kill your players very quickly.

But I was actually referring to the two player option being fun, the single player leagues are just plain dull.

>>>>>> Downloading now......

There was another 2-player game similar to Tanx but I can't remember the name of it......

D'oh!!! T'was Scorched Tanks... all those awesome weapons you could buy and nuke your opposition with... heh heh. Was this game free (PD) back then??

First of all: yesterday, unfortunally I spilled some champaign over my keyboard, so that the key 'y' is not working at the moment. Instead I'll use the ASCII-Code 121 in the following text. (ALT+121 on the numkey-pad)
If there's missing an 'y' in the following text, sorr:
Firepower was mentioned before by several people: That game rocks!
Here are some other 2plaer-favourites of mine:
- Skychase
- Emerald Mine
- Prospector in the mazes of XOR
- Sensible Soccer

Cheers,
Rick

Sorry, I meant play as anyone else - probably should have made that clearer (li.e., get non-vikings to join your team). But yeah, you're right that doesn't really apply to two-player.

He was trying to bring his Amiga to life like in the movie "Electric Dreams".

In the movie, the guy accidentally spills champagne all over his Mac and it somehow develops an intelligence and starts talking to him. (note: this will not work on Windows computers - no matter what you do, there's no intelligence there)

I have to backup what has been said before - Pang!

Years and years ago I had to babysit a flat full of Super Magicoms - yes it was a bit dodgy! Anyway the chap had a (spit) Atari ST, we rifled through his disks and ended up playing Pang ALL night
