Amiga game banners

I present to you another banner, this time for Dune II.

I must admit that it was a bit of a challenge, since I had to go out of my comfort zone of making banners of platform games.

I went into unknown territory and created this.

I hope that you like it.

PS. If I may, do you think that you could make the blue planet more orange? Because Arrakis is supposed to look orange (desert + spice) and it could "match" better with the sand background of your banner. Feel free to ignore, I have no eye for art and colour!

I'm glad that you like it.

As to your request I have never changed the original colors of the elements that I am using (the only change that I am doing is resizing or flip).
I am using original screenshots from the games (and from HOL).

For the blue planet (which now I know is not the Moon ) I used this screenshot:



What I had in mind while creating the banner is that the Harkonnen look a bit like some kind of Nosferatu to me and the blue planet looks like the Moon which shines upon the characters.

Also I think that if I would add more orange or red, it would take away from the title.

Anyway. Thank you for the request(s) and change suggestion.

I've looked through the screenshots and managed to change the planet.

It doesn't look too bad....I think.

I will leave both versions, so you can choose which one you like better.

Hello evryone.

After taking a look at old banners, TCD and I weren't really happy with James Pond one, so I've tried to do revisit my idea and make a new - hopefully better - one.

I present to you: James Pond banner (revisited).

OMG!!!

I havent seen some of these in ages. Wish I could find more of my time to do stuff like this again, but alsas, most of my time is now spent with work...

I still do GFX, but it's mainly work orientated these days, and finding time to do anything enjoyable, and for myself, or EAB etc, is becoming a much harder task to do.

Still, it's great to see these banners again CrazyOne & TCD, brings back some good memories.

Keep up the great work guys, it's always a pleasure knowing that somewhere, someone is still doing their bit for the Amiga community

Making these banners is really lots of fun (especially the part where I pick where and which little sprite to put).

Sometimes the hardest part is to stay working on one banner at a time.
