Perfect then. It works very well with all I've tried too.

Found a long-standing bug in the icon.library existing already since 46.4.370 from August 2014 concerning disabled color icons and NewIcons with direct drawing used on Hi/TrueColor screens. I didn'r switch off the direct drawing for these icons to display their planar images correctly.
This bug will be fixed on the next days. Atm, there are still a few NewIcons with corrupted planar images which I need to get looking right again. |

Would be nice if you made the ghosting off as default and a command to turn it on. Seems backwards as most don't like or use it. Even on RTG.

I've got my AKReal update ready, and I will wait to add your fixed icon.library when it's ready. I only found some problems with icons with a configuration (this is from a year ago), and it was solved using a different background, so I think it was just a lack of pens available. Ideally it would be cool to be able to change the default configuration inside the exe file, then when the lib is in rom you get what you want at startup.
Personally, I have got used to the current default setup, which is much similar to OS4 defaults and remember, it's impossible to please everyone, we are all different, and luckily we have many options to tweak to suite our needs. |

The patched version is correct, and it works for me as Libs:icon.library.

And you don't have another icon.library in a custom ROM or loaded with Blitzkick ??
Try to check it with Version icon.library You could also try out RemLib from the ThirdParty folder in my Aminet archive: RemLib icon.library ; please no path like Libs:icon.library Last edited by PeterK; 22 April 2016 at 07:49. |

Ok, confirmed, it seems not to do the trick on 8-bit or AGA screens, just on Hi/TrueColor screen modes.

Update to icon.library 46.4.426:
The previous version was not optimal, since I made two minor mistakes when I wanted to be too smart. It should be done better now. And now a simple hack for all the GhostBusters: If you really don't like icon ghosting to be enabled by default then take a HEX-editor, scan the icon.library for $74FF4AAD and change it into $74004AAD. @TjLaZer Sorry, it just needs another byte changed for screens with 8 or less bits depth: Also scan for $6B2C and replace it with $602C Last edited by PeterK; 22 April 2016 at 08:49. |

Great.
A question. Reading your readme: Quote:
C:IconsToFastMem IF EXISTS C:RTG C: DOnoColorMapping EndIF (Well, this "IF" is only for when you use "Better Config" and select to use RTG: I don't want to add a program checking for RTG used, surely delaying the booting.) Because I don't see any difference with DonoColorMapping enabled with AGA. Shall I use DonotColorMapping and Use Custom Drag Routines for AGA? I'm sorry I don't take it. Hi Retrofan,
yes, on RTG screens I would recommend to use "DOnoColorMapping" which will give you the best possible speed for DOpus Magellan II. There is only one small drawback when somebody switches from RTG to non-RTG modes: then you will just see some black icon masks instead of colored images. But that can be corrected easily by calling DOpus icon menu "Icon Reset" or by reopening the windows. You don't need this option for AGA if there's no speed gain on real Amigas. |
