Some people might remember my first prototype of a automatic monitorswitch:

http://amiga.erkan.se/index.php/exci...-from-germany/

After some redesign and betatesting i started a new version:

It is full software controlled, no manuell switching needed.
Automatical detection of the used videosource.

Reduced size, can fit inside a standard A1k2-desktop housing if the rf-modulator is kicked off.

Does it need any kind of software support from P96/CGX or is the detection purely hardware based?

read the description ... here in short

it is "softwarecontrolled" and takes 3 lines from the cia8520
gnd,vcc,select

select is generated by software
the software detectes the actual screenmode

Ratte, that's amazing work you have done on your switcher.

I have also an A4000 with Mediator and Radeon, and Indivision AGA.

And, I have a LCD monitor with one DVI and one VGA input. I put the Radeon to DVI input, the Indivision to the monitor's VGA input.

When I turn on the Amiga 4000 the monitor automatically picks up the Indivision signal. Once the Radeon kicks in, I press a single button on the front of the monitor and it switches to the DVI input.

If the DVI input goes away, the monitor will automatically switch to the VGA (Indivision) input.

Not bad, I only have to press the button on the Monitor once.

pcbs arrived today ...

compared to my old version ... funny little switch

@darrenhd:
with this switch you will never press any button again ... even with:
indivision + radeon (vga-output)
indivision + voodoo
indivision + cybervisionppc
indivision + bvision
.... and many more

a handfull of samples is finally ready ...

I promised Amigakit a sample on the "Essen-fair / Germany", alternativ AmigaFuture could print a DIY workshop.

Price for a sample is 85,-Euro + shipping.
I need complete details about the config.
Amiga model
FlickerFixer
Graphiccard

If i get to many requests, i will prefer users who wants to write a review and still have some references.

NOTE: The switch is taking a signal from the serial port. The current MAS-Player software is hw-banging the ports, this can cause problems!

I have to say Ratte

Ihre Arbeit ist eine ständige Quelle der Inspiration!!!

I must say this is an awesome project!

I have been playing about with digital KVM's and getting them to work with amiga video outputs - I have some interesting things afoot - more on that later.

Can it use the monitor switch trigger line on the Cybervision 643D to switch?

problem is that both videosignals are are ALLWAYS activ on the amiga.
voodoo, radeon, csppc&bvision drivers where not written with a "switch"support.
so they are allways activ (tooltypes and env-settings will be ignored by this drivers)
