Amiga Demobase Release Date !

Hi All,

Have been busy with this Demobase and i can keep on
working on it till i drop...

So i will release a beta version before 1 May

Keep in mind that im no pro or expert so this is to the
best of my capabilities

Due to the fact that im getting MARRIED end of June this year

Hehe,so real life is taking a little bit more time soon!

So after the Beta release it will take some time to work on it....

I hope you all have some fun with this release !

Here's some nmbers that will be in it

Total Entries >about 15000
Configured Demos>about 6500
Total of files that have the Demofile attached >about 10000
Demos that don't work>about 400
Screenshots taken>about 8600

So, now this neat package is gonna weigh about 3.5 Gb
Can someone plz helpe me find a place to put it?
I will also put it on Undergroundgamer but i FIRST wanna give
it to you all.....

Regards

Thumbs up DemoBase Amiga

If you can seed it as a torrent from your own computer, PC i suppose, why not find out what trackers the various bittorrent site's use and put the torrent link here on EAB.

http://tracker..org/announce work's for example. Will take some time to seed it up, but when you have seeded 100% it can go faster and faster to seed from computer to computer.

Only a nice suggestion from me.

Cheers Dirk Good to hear you are (almost) ready to release the beta Sorry for not contributing the last weeks, but expect some late ones during the next weeks

Oh and like ma693541 said an open torrent would be the best way to distribute 3.5 GB of files

Maybe a GM can move it to News, so more people will look at it I hope this way you'll get more responses on the release

Not sure it's worthy of "News" yet, but it's not really a problem so doesn't belong in "prb.Demos", Amiga Scene currently seems the best place for it

Hello sjakie43. Hope that you don't use Underground Gamer to pulish your work of Demobase Amiga.

They don't take more members because of max limit of members reached and if you do so, only a few people will see your work published. Hope that you have that in mind.

I look forward for the final release date of Demobase Amiga, i shall test it to max if i get my hand's on it.

Keep up the good work.

Even it's some time to you get married, i will congratulate and hope that you and your wife will get a long and nice marriage.

I plucked some logos from the A.D.A. and put this together. I'm no expert with Photoshop, but gave it a whirl and do have the .psd so some changes could still be made.
